Booking/Cancellation Policy for Hotel Rooms
- A credit card needs to be put on file at the time of booking.
- Cancellations made outside 72 hours prior to arrival –a $30 cancellation processing fee.
- Cancellations made within 72 hours prior to arrival or less – will be charged for the entire stay that was booked.
- No-shows on date of arrival will be charged for the entire stay that was booked.
- Full payment due at time of check out.
- If a guest who has reserved a room within the block checks out prior to the guest's reserved checkout date, an early departure fee of $30.00/day will be charged to that guest's individual account.

Conference Registration Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made in writing and emailed to Michelle Quinn, MAGIP Administrator. Cancellations made by March 20, 2026, may be issued a full refund. Cancellations made after this time will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and will be subject to a minimum $100 cancellation fee. "No shows" forfeit entire registration fee.
Note for Presenters: Notification of presentation acceptance will be on or before February 11, 2026. Accepted presenters will be expected to register for at least one day of the conference unless only attending to present.

Call for Web Maps and Posters/Maps!
We invite you to participate in the Map/Poster Gallery and/or Web Map Application presentations at the 2026 Big Sky GeoCon. All entries will be evaluated by judges during the conference for possible cash awards. This year Web Map Presentations are scheduled for Wednesday, April 14 beginning at 8:25 am, immediately following the official opening of the conference.

The Montana Association of Geographic Professionals (MAGIP) biannually presents two awards. The Distinguished Service Award is presented for long-term service and leadership to the Montana GIS community and the GIS profession. The GIS Professional Livability Award recognizes an individual's measurable contribution to the application of GIS, thus improving the quality of life within their community.
The deadline for submission is March 20, 2026
The awards will be presented during the banquet dinner on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at the Grouse Mountain Lodge, Whitefish. Learn more about the awards and past recipients.
